I went running today for the first time since my ACL/hamstring tendon/collateral ligament injury. I only ran for 15 minutes, and at a very slow pace, but the knee held up pretty well. Every time I tried to stride out and speed up, the joint just shuddered, so I only tried twice. I think it will take some time to really run smoothly. Sunday I will do 24 minutes and see how that feels. I've got my knee packed in ice right now (you know your injury is for real when you really look forward to getting wrapped up in ice) and it feels okay. I think I might have been over-enthusiastic with the layups this afternoon and put too much stress on it, but it doesn't seem serious.
